MINING NEWS.
LUCKY SHOT TELEGRAM. The following is a telegram received from the mine manager on December 24 : Lucky Shot Gold Mining Company, 83 ounces retorted gold from 58 loads of quartz.— A. Christie, Manager. Tui Gold Mining.—Have continued rising in No. 2 level. The stone in width is much the same, about 3ft. All stone broken is being retained in the storage hopper.
