The Northern Boxing Association wili present their holiday attraction at the Town Hall this evening, when Billy Grime (Australia) will meet Pete Sarron (Australia) in a contest scheduled to last 15 rounds. Both men are high-claes performers, and at their recent meeting in Wellington, when Sarron won in the 14th round, provided one of the best fights seen in the capital city for a long time. Since his arrival in New Zealand Grime has outpointed Johnnie Leckie, while Sarron is the only man who can claim to have knocked the New Zealand champion out. LECKIE BEATEN. CHAMPION OFF FORM. PALMERSTON N., Thursday. In professional boxing of 15 rounds this evening Tommy Crowle (Australia) defeated Johnny Leckie (New Zealand) on points. The sfjght was fairly even. Crowle had the better of the earlier rounds, being particularly strong in infighting. Leckie gave a glimpse of his old form only in the-last two rounds. . WIN FOR BLOQM. JACK JONES OUTPOINTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WESTPORT, Thursday. A professional boxing contest between Lou Bloom (America) and Jack Jones (Wales) took place this evening. Bloom won on points. Over the first seven rounds Jones was leading, but Bloom scored heavily in the other eight rounds.
