SALE OF GESTURE.

I PURCHASED BY MR. R. J. MURPHY. The Great Northern I'oal Stakes' winner Gesture was so ; .d immediately after the race to the Wellington sportsman, Mr. R. J. Murphy. The sale was effected through the agency of Mr. T. Roulston. Gesture, who was purchased at the Trentham sales held in January last for / 100gs, has won five races on end, and to'day credited her trainer, Mrs. A. McDonald, with her first "classic" victory. Gesture was bred by Mr. J. Donald, of Wanganui, who also owns the sire, Chief Ruler.
