WAIKATO NOTES.
Mrs. H. J. Greenslade, of Hamilton, is spending the Christmas and Xew Year holiday at Tauranga. Mrs. G. Dalzell has returned to "Pupuke," Hamilton, from a lengthy holiday in England and the Continent. Mrs. J. Willaims, of Claudelaiuls, is away at Tauranga for several weeks. Mrs. J. Hill, of Hamilton, is spending Christmas at Napier. Mrs. R. Xagle, of Wellington, is the guest of Dr. and Mrs. Priiis, at Te Awainutu. Miss King, of Dunedin, is on a visit to Hamilton. Mrs. W. Eraser and children are spending the school holidays at Tauranga. Mrs. C. M. Hume, of Hamilton, is away 011 a visit of several weeks to Whangarei. Miss J. Dalzell has returned homo to Hamilton after being away in England for over a year. Mrs. Winter, of Gisborne, has been staying with friends in Cambridge. Miss G. Wyatt, of Hamilton, is 011 a visit to Wellington. Miss M. Taylor has returned to Cambridge after spending several weeks in Rotorua. Mrs. Roy Greenslade and children, of Hamilton, arc away at Tauranga beach. Mrs. W. J. Stevens and Miss J. Stevens, of Hamilton, are spending the vacation at Wailii. Mr. and Mrs, R. D. Caldwell have returned to Cambridge from a trip to England and the Contingent. Miss A. Scott has left Hamilton, 011 a visit to England. Mrs. Arthur Eurzc, of Auckland, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. J. Ranstead, Matangi. Miss X. Monckton, of Wanganui, is spending the holidays in Hamilton. Miss G. Hoby, of Xelson, is on a visit to Hamilton. Miss E. Turner, of Hamilton, has left 011 a year's visit to England. Mrs. P. Ealconcr, of Wellington, is staying in Hamilton. Miss E. Simmons, of Gisborne, is 011 a visit to her relatives at "Hadlow," Claudelaiuls. Mrs. Smalcs, of C'laudelands is spending a holiday in Gisborne and Palmerston Xortli. Miss E. Madeley, of Hamilton, is 011 a visit to Kawau.
A party was given by Mrs. T. Owsley at her home for her daughter, Gertrude. Mrs. Owsley was wearing a black georgette frock, Miss Gertrude, pink frilled georgette. Others present were: Mrs. E. Allen, Misses M. Davis, J. Brown, A. Toininson, li. Hirst, 11. Paull, J. Redmond, M. King, B. Robertson, T. Owsley, blasters E. Gerrish, J. Ritchie, G. Dennis, G. Davics, T. Owsley, R. Matheson, J. Jenkinson. On Thursday Mrs. H. D. Caro, Dawson Street, Hamilton, gave a children's party, at which many of the mothers also attended. Those present included: Mr. and Mrs. S. X. Ziman (Cambridge), Mr. and Mrs. K. Bryson, Mra. Jennins (Cambridge), Mrs. I\ E. Cleary, Mrs. R. J. McKenzie, Mrs. Blackmore, Mrs. do Venny McGarrigle, Mrs. X. Sutherland (Cambridge), Mrs. Tiplitzy, Mrs. Coles, Miss Xeweonibe, Miss B. Manning, Miss P. Hooper.
On Friday afternoon at the Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, the annual treat of strawberries and cream was given to the patients by the lady members of the Hospital Sunshine League. The Christmas treat was thoroughly enjoyed by the patients and a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the ladies for their kindness. Those who helped were: Mrs. T. Owsley, Mrs. A. L. Yule, Mrs. B. C. Lowry, Mrs. Gough, Mrs. H. J. Ferguson, Miss D. Yule and Miss H. Prentice.
