TURUA WINS LAIDLAW CUP. By defeating Kerepeehi in the final round of the A grade competition at Turua on Saturday last. Turua again become the holders of the Lnidlaw Cup, which las', vear was held by Ngatea. At the conclusion of the match tne nresid'ent of the Kerepeehi Club. Mr. X. Clay, congratulated the Turua team on its 'nin and on having gone through the competition minus defeat. The captain of the Turua team. B. c. Robinson, suitably responded. The -weather was ideal and the matches were much enjoyed by participants. Following are the details :— A GRADE. Men's Singles.—F. C. Robinson beat A. J. Hutchison, o—7: Dr. Miller beat N. Clay o—2:. A. McConnell bent G. Crisp, 9—H :H. Griffiths beat C. Murray. 9—2. Men's Doubles.—Robinson and Miller beat Hutchison and Clnv, 0—8: McConnell and Griffiths bent Crisp and Murray. 0—•>: C. Scott and Bell beat Bosweli and Wentworth. o—B. Ladies' Singles.—Miss A. Dixon beat Mrs. Clay. 7 —o: Miss I. Griffiths lost to Miss Rogers. 5 —7. Ladies' Doubles. —Misses Dixon and Griffiths beat Mrs. Clay and Miss Rogers. 7 3 ; Mrs. Scott and Miss Grien bea<. Mesdames A (Hum and Kidd. 7—2. Combined Doubles.—Mr. and Mrs. Scott beat Bosweli and Mrs. Adlum. 7—2: Bell and Miss Green beat Wentworth and Mrs. K Turua won 12 sets to 1 (103 games to 53 games). B GRADE. TURUA V.
