New Zealand airman, who left Croydon on Friday in an effort to beat Bert Hinkler's record on a flight to Australia, made a forced landing in the Tripoli marshes. He was unhurt but his machine "was somewhat damaged. Fog prevented him from seeding the adjacent beacons.
Mr. Chichester has named his '"plane Moses and his motor Elijah.
