DIXIELAND.
' A large number of dancers attended Dixieland-by-the-sea on Saturday night, "when excellent music and a setting of softly-shaded lights and graceful palms made tho scene a most entrancing one. TliQ Dixieland dance band was at its best, and some spirited and new numbers were played. Some very beautiful frocks were worn. Amongst those who were present were: Mrs. Phillip Brown, who wore a frock of henna-shaded georgette, embossed in chenille; Mrs. A. MacKenzie, floral ninoii with wide hem of black lace; Mrs. J. Parr, ciel blue lace frock with bolero coat; Mrs. 11. McDonald, sapphire blue satin and lace; Mrs. A. Neville, French blue lack frock with trimmings of ostrich feather; Mrs. Scotting, amethyst shaded taffeta; Mrs. T. Wilson, black lace and georgette finished with diamante buckle; Mrs. M. Jackson, Chinese red rippled ninon frock; Mrs. H. Barker, gold lame with skirt of gold lace; Mrs. W. Woods, black georgette- with Vandyked skirt of lace; Miss Lesley Waller, pastel shaded blue and pink floral ninon; Miss-Cherry Anderson, frock of rose beige georgette ; Miss Audrey Alison, white satin draped at sides; Miss Jean Lawford, saraeen red ■i-oorgetto frock; Miss Jean Macindoe, black lace with Chinese embroideries; .Miss M. Mitchelson, frock of black lace; Miss Joan Robertson, willow green lace and georgette; Miss Jean Graham, black lace relieved with touches of scarlet; .Miss Freda Gaudin, scarlet ring velvet with hip bow of blue satin; Miss Nancye Cotter, champagne georgette with pointed draperies; Miss Biddy Pbilcox, willow green taffeta and net; Miss Rita Cornaga, sage green georgette with posy of real flowers on shoulder; Miss Marie Jones, palest pink taffeta; Miss Beryl Heap, leaf green georgette and chenille; Miss B. Keenan, black ring velvet with georgette inlet; Miss B. Adams, floral georgette in tones of black and white; Miss I. Freeman, gold tinted velvet, draped; Miss B. Robertson, frock of black lace; .Miss 11. L\ Clarke, forest green sprigged crepe do chine; Miss Edna Rhodes, parchment shaded taffeta; Miss McNaiight, leaf green taffeta with lace trimmings; Miss D. Wynyard, deep cream lace with girdle of diamante; Miss T. Wilson, black laco and georgette; Miss H. Wallace, pastel rose georgette with skirt of frills; Miss Rene Stanborough, black lace frock with shoulder spray of red flowers; Miss Darby, amethyst shaded taffeta; Miss Dawson-Welsh, Chinese green georgette frock; Miss Marjorie Ely, turquoise blue satin; Miss Olive Chiplin, gold and flame georgette; Miss M. llawley, amethyst and pink chiffon frock; Miss L. Watt, deep citron , georgette; Miss Colebrook, lemon shaded georgette; Miss Enid Jenkin, almond green crepe satin and tulle; Miss Andreson, gold lame and flame shaded georgette; Miss Leila Mahcr, scarlet .georgette and gold lace; Miss Fuller, black georgette embossed in chenille; Miss E. Johns, black georgette with skirt of frills; Miss T. Carter, gold lame with skirt of gold lace; Miss F. Russell, spring green chiffon with diamante trimming; Miss G. Gordon, old rose chiffon frock; Miss B. McGregor, orchid mauve georgette with frilled skirt; Miss A. Cook, powder blue georgette with inlets of cream lace; Miss M. Chambers, beige georgette and ecru lace; Miss M. Stephens, cream laco with sash of turquoise blue velvet.
