NEW WELLINGTON TUNNEL
WORK TO COST £133,000. WELLINGTON, Saturday. The Mayor of Wellington, Mr. G. A. Troup, swung the first pick for the actual tunnel work in Mount Victoria. The tunnel, when completed, will give easier access to Miriamar, Hataitai, Kilbirnie, etc. The contract price is £133,000. The tunnel will be 2045 ft long, with an inside breadth of 29ft. . .
