"RED" THREATS.
Officials Forced To Return From Manchuria. INVESTIGATION TRIP. (Received 11.30 a.m.) SHANGHAI, December 18. The international train, conveying foreign Consular officials and journalists for the purpose of ascertaining the conditions at the scene of the recent Soviet military operations in Western Manchuria to-day is reported to have returned from the Chalatan Mission station, which is abandoned. It is stated that "Red" troops threatened the train in the event of further advance. The real position is therefore obscure.
