GIRLS' SPORTS CLUB.
PRESENTATION OF PRIZES,
Presentations were made last evening to winners of trophies at the recenc Interhouse Girls' Sports. The function was held in the club rooms in Chancery Street, and the hall was brightly decorated for the occasion with vases of flowers. All the girls turned out in their colourful athletic garb, and collectively added to the brightness of the setting. The presentations were made by the Mayoress (Mrs. A. D. Campbell), who was introduced by the president of the club, Miss E. Wagner. With their pursuance of sports, said the Mayoress, the girls were setting a fine example to other parts of the Dominion. She congratulated them on the success of their recent > carnival held at Carlaw Park, and hoped that they would not only maintain, but improve the high standard of their work. After the official business had been transacted, a programme of songs and recitations was got off, the performers being Misses Berry, Gow, Johnson and Mr. Sutherland. Bouquets were presented to Mrs. Campbell and Miss Wagner. . s
