PROJECTIONISTS' DISPUTE. • i CONCILIATION PROCEEDINGS. •' •———. ~I Tie Council of Conciliation has concluded its hearing of an application made by the Auckland Motion Picture Houses Projectionists' Industrial. Union of Workers for an increase of wages, reduction of "working hours and other improvements on the award at present governing the industry. The hearing, of the dispute occupied the attention of the council for the. best part of two days, and at its conclusion yesterday the commissioner (Sir. P. Hally) was able to announce that notwithstanding the altered conditions of work brought about through the introduction at talking pictures, an agreement on all disputed , clauses • was arranged to the satisfaction of . the parties concerned. The employers were represented throughout the proceedings by ' Messrs. L. Quinn, W. Martin and G. Alexander. The workers' assessors were Messrs. H. Mayo, A. Connell and H. Copeland. Mr. S. E. Wright appeared as agent for the employers, and Mr. H. Hillbourne acted lin a similar capacity for the workers. .
