DOUKHOBORS REFUSE BOOTS. (Prom Our Own Correspondent.) VANCOUVER, October 31. A number of Doukhobors, the fanatical Russian settlers who are in conflict with the Government of British Columbia over school attendance regulations, find were sentenced to gaol with hard labour for staging nude parades, are not performing the hard labour. Members of a cult which, strictly vegetarian, opposes tho killing of anything either for food or wearing apparel reasons, they have refused to wear boots, and they cannot be placed at work on a rock pile without them.
