WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK

CROOKALL—DRIVER.

The -wedding was celebrated at- St. Columba's Church, Grey Lynn, on Saturday afternoon of Miss.-Vida D. Driver, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. Driver, of Warwickshire, England, to Mr. George G. Crooka-H, eldest, son of Mr. and the late Mrs. Crookall, of Mount Albert. The Rev. Hobday, officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of lier uncle, Mr. J. Norris. wore a frock of ivory crepe de chine with uneven hemline and a spray of orange blossom was worn on the shoulder. Her embroidered veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white flowers. The bridesmaid, Miss Ri'by Xorris, wore a frock of primrose satin beaute and georgette, with tiered skirt and cape collar, and hat to tone. She carried a bouquet, of mauve and pink shaded flowers. The bridegroom's brother, Mr. Jack Crookall, attended him as best man.

BURNNAND—RHODES. The wedding of Mi<s» Irene Ruth Rhodes, eldest daughter cf Mr. and Mrs. P. Rhodes, of Papatoetoe, to Mr. George Burnnand, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Burnnand, of Epsom, was solemnised a f the Mount Eden Presbyterian Church last evening. . The Rev. L. Hunt officiated. The bride was given away. by her father, and wore a frock of white tulle and georgette. The Mechlin net veil formed a train; and was held in place by a wreath and ear clusters of orange blossom. A white shower bouquet was carried. The bridesmaid, Miss Edna Burnnand. wove peach georgette with uneven hem, silver tinsel headdress and lemon bouquet. Mr. 0. | Chiles was best mah. Black bowls of yellow and mauve violas, with tall crystal vases of pink sweet peas, graced the wedding breakfast table, which was served at the Penrith rooms. The bride's mother received the guest? in midnight blue crepe fleuri, blue hat and crimson rose bouqaet. The bridegroom's mother wore striped navy and old gold silk marocain, hat .to tone.
