"He was a member of one of the worst bunches of young hoodlums that have been in Dunedin for some time," said Mr Bartholomew, S.M., when dealing with Francis Henry Taylor, aged 20, who appeared for sentence on a charge of having insufficient means of support. The police said Taylor left Dunedin without notifying the probation officer. He had previous convictions and was a thief. "He's not a trier; he always seems to have a grievance," said the probation officer. Ho was sentenced to two years' Bostal detention. f
