SUPPORT FOR MISSIONS.

ABCHDEACON MacMUKEAY'S APPEAL.

Archdeacon MaeMurray made an appeal at the annual mission festival in St. Mark's Church, Remuera, last evening, for increased support of the mission work. He expressed himself disappointed at finding that in the city of Nazareth, at the present day, the only religious building was a Mohammedan mosque. He felt sure, he said, that the Church would rise to meet the increased burden which, circumstances were conspiring to throw upon it. Archdeacon Mac Murray was supported by Archbishop Averill. The lessons were read by Canons Fancourt and Young, and special prayers for Church missions were offered by Archdeacon MaeMurray. The service closed with a blessinopronounced by the Archbishop.
