WIDOW ATTACKED.
NECK TWISTED BY MAN. AFTER-SUPPER DEVELOPMENT SENTENCE OF IMPRISONMENT. VIOLENT THREATS ALLEGED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, -this day. Wringing her neck and declaring that lie would kill her and "get" her that night, a mail named Joseph John Blennerhassett, aged 32, gave a young widow with whom he and another young man had. supper last night, a great shock. Blennerhassett, who is a motor mechanic, was charged before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., to-day with a breach of his prohibition order, with being found drunk, and with assault. The police stated that Blennerhassett, in company with another man, had taken a youDg. widow to supper, and while there he addressed her in insultingterms. She hurried away, 'but he followed her, and, taking her by the neck, twisted it, telling her he would kill her and would "get" her that night. Accused was sentenced to twelve months at Pakatoa. a
