MAHENO WITHDRAWN.
TUBBINE REPAIRS AT SYDNEY.
INTETRCOLONIAL TIME-TABLE CHANGES.
At least a fortnight will be required for repairs to the damaged turbine of the Maheno at Sydney. A cable message states that the Maheno docks to-day, and will undergo a complete overhaul later. The vessel will be replaced on the New Zealand-Sydney run by the Maunganui, and on the 27th will enter the Melbourne-Wellington service. In view of the withdrawal of the Maheno extensive alterations have been necessary in the intercolonial time-table. The Marama takes the Maheno's sailing from Sydney to-morrow for Wellington, and the Marama's booked passengers for this port will be brought by the Aorangi, leaving Sydney to-day in the CanadianAustralian mail service. The Maunganui, now undergoing overhaul here, will take the Marama's sailing from Auckland, instead of from Wellington, as was intended. The Maunganui will leave here on November 22 for Sydney. The Maheno, which was to leave Wellington on November 20, for Melbourne direct in the new subsidised mail service between New Zealand and Melbourne, states a Press Association telegram, will now be unable to do so, but will pick up her running in the new service, leaving Melbourne towards the end of this month for Wellington direct. The Manuka's time-table is not affected, and that vessel wiH leave Melbourne on November 20 for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton and Wellington.
