ROWING.
CLUB OPENINGS.
GOOD RACING PROMISED,
To-morrow afternoon four of the local clubs will be engaged in trial racing. At the North Shore the marine suburb's club will be officially opened with President's Day, when an ''at home" will be held in the boathouse. King Edward Parade, and trial fours will be rowed for trophies donated by the president, Mr, Cassells-Brown. A special feature will be the trial four race for old members of the club.
The St. George's Eowing Club will open the season with the annual trial fours for the Rowsell Memorial Cup. The season will be opened by the Waitemata Boating Club with trial fours for trophies donated by Mr. C. J. Ellerbeck, vice-commodore.
The West End Club will hold the second series of trials —handicap pair oars —for the Schmidt ' Trophy. The first race will start at 2 p.m.
Practice work will be the order of the Auckland Club. A full muster of members is requested, as several matters of club importance will be announced.
