THOMPSON—ADDISON.

The wedding of Miss Louisa Caudace J Addison, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. [J. Addison, of Parnell, and Mr. William Thompson, eldest son of Mrs. C. Thompson, of Dunedin, was solemnised at Pitt Street Methodist Church on Wednesday. The lie v. W. Walker officiated. The bride wore a frock of ivory satin beaute and georgette, trimmed with narrow blonde lace, and a spray of orange blossom at the waist. The tulle veil was held by a chaplet of orange blossom buds, and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses. The two bridesmaids were Miss Candace Brownett, in lilac crepe de chine, and Miss Kirry Rowe, in flesh pink crepe fleuri with silver lace. Tulle headdresses and shower bouquets of lilac, pansies and pink roses toned with each gown. The best man was Mr. F. Holly, the groomsman, Mr. Herbert Strong. Nairn's reception room was gaily festooned in mauve, pink and green for the wedding supper. The bride's mother wore a navy crepe fleuri trimmed with rosewood georgette, and hat to tone.COLES—BUTTERWORTH. The marriage was celebrated at the Papakura Methodist Church, on Thursday last, of Miss Eva Butterworth, third (laughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Butterworth, of Manurewa, to Mr. H. Coles, elder son of Mr. E. Coles, Papatoetoe. The ceremony was performed by Kev. J. W. Griffin, Mrs. P. Butterworth assisting as organist. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. Keith Butterworth, wore a frock of gold satin and georgette, ornamented with a shoulder posy and diamante buckle. Her flowing veil was also in gold, and held in place by a coronet of orange blossom and gold leaves. She carried a shower bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Hazehvood, niece of the bride, who wore a frock of apple green georgette, with a French embroidered corsage and tulle halo to tone. She carried a bouquet of pale pink roses and sweet peas. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Grant Coles. The reception was held at the residence of the bride's sister, Mrs. Lester Wood, Ardmore. HUMBY—GREENHALGH. Miss Phoebe Greenhalgh, fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Greenhalgh, Grey Lynn, was a dainty bride on Wednesday, when her marriage was solemnised at Pitt Street Methodist Church, to Mr. Frederick Percival Humby, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Humby, of Ponsonby. The Rev. W. Walker performed the ceremony. The bride entered the church with her father.. She was dressed in ivory satin, with a flared skirt cut oil uneven lines. She wore a satin cap, with an embroidered tulle veil and train, which was held in place by clusters of lily of the valley and orange blossom buds. A shower bouquet of white blooms was carried. Three bridesmaids followed. They were the Misses Ethel Greenhalgh, Maisie Humby and .Eva Greenhalgh. Their frocks formed a rainbow group in shades of Terry blue taffeta, lemon and cameo pink georgette. The skirts were frilled, and they formed uneven hems. Picture crinoline hats and shower bouquets toned with the gowns. A dainty little flower girl was Jean Williamson, in an apple green georgette and tulle headdress. A silver basket of flowers was carried. Mr. Gordon Humby was best man. Flowers to match the bridemaids' gowns were used for table decorations for the wedding supper at the Penrith Rooms, an electric pink wedding bell being suspended over the bridal couple. The bride's mother wore biscuit and claret shaded jumper suit of silk crepe de chine, hat to tone; the bridegroom's mother, brown and beige georgette, beige hat.
