WAIHI'S HEAVY RAINFALL.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. Mr. Haszard, weather observer, reports that the rainfall at Waihi in October totalled 11.86 inches. The maxinvum fall in 24 hours occurred on the 14th, when a fall of 5.4 inches was recorded. There was a phenomenal downpour on the 15th, when 4i inches fell between 4.30 and 6.30 a.m. Four frosts were recorded.
