CORONER'S INQUEST.
DEATH OF MRS. TOCKER,
Air- inquest was opened yesterday afternoon by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court in connection with the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Cole Tocker, of Epsom, who died as a result ofV injuries received through being knocked down by a taxicab after alighting from' a tramcar in Manukau Road on the night of November 5. A friend of the family, Mr. Thomas B. Brown, identified the body. He said Mrs. Tocker was a, widow, 69 years of ago. She was born in New Zealand and married at Paeroa. He had got those facts ; from a Bible presented by Bishop G. A. i Rclwyn to the grandfather of Mrs. Tocker. ; The inquest ■ was adjourned at tins stage to a date to be fixed by the police.
