SHIPPING NEWS.
REMUERA POSTPONED. STORM ON EAST COAST. An announcement that the Remuera's departure for Napier had been postponed to 3 p.m. to-morrow, was made by the New Zealand Shipping Company this morning. Mails for England close to-, morrow morning. Passengers from Auckland will go aboard here, and those from the South will join the vessel at Napier. Stormy weather has interfered with I the running of steamers in the East Coast service, and the Waimea was considerably overdue when she arrived from Napier and Gisborne this afternoon. To resume her timetable next week she will run to Gisborne only, leaving to-night. The Tregonell has gone to an anchorage in the stream where she will remain until the end of the week. Congestion at Westport is the reason given by the agents for postponing the vessel's departure.
