The engineer was instructed to have the necessary warning signs erected, and to have a watchman continuously seeing, to the regulation of traffic. The council decided to ask the Automobile Association for its co-operation. Building permits issued during the three months ended October 31, represented a total value of £22,784 5/. There were 14 dwellings valued at £10,593, 12 additions and alterations at £2197, one motor concrete boot factory at £9619, and sundry structures at £375.
