KIRK-WINDEYER CUP MATCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The New Zealand Golf Council has elected Mr. M. J. Crombie a member of the appeal committee in place of Mr. Balnea vis. In view of the reply from the Australian Golf Union, arrangements are to be gone on with for the Kirk-Windeyer Cup tournament, to be played at the Shirley links from April 14 to 17. No reply has been received from the Royal and Ancient Club to the inquiry whether it could permit the use of steel shafted clubs in New Zealand. The only application so far for the New Zealand championships in 1930 is from Manawatu.
