AKARANA LADIES' CLUB.

The Akarana Ladies' Club closed their winter season yesterday. The best scores returned in the Canadian foursomes were: Miss Connett and Miss Jones, 78—20 —58 (14 holes) ; Mrs. Gilmore and Miss Dalton, 78—li) —59 ; Miss Smith and Miss Longdill, 77 —15—02. Long drive: Miss T. Cox. Approaching and putting: Miss Smith, Miss Hickman, and Mrs Preston tied for first place, Miss Smith winning the play-off. The season's eclectic competition (senior division) resulted in a tie hetween Mrs. McCarthv and Miss T. Cox, 77; Mrs. Gilmore, 78; and Miss Darrach, 79. In the junior division, (Miss E. Fearnley, S4; Miss McGee, 85 ; and Mrs. Cox, 80. The L.G.U. silver medal was won by Mrs. McCarthy. The L.G.U. bronze medal was won by Miss G. Smith. In the finals of the C grade championship, Miss W. Todd defeated Miss I. Deacon, 4 up and 2.
