' Week-end trippers had au interesting time during the week-end at tlie National Park, a successful excursion having teen run by the proprietors of the Chateau Tongariro, in conjunction 1 with the Railway Department. The largest crowd on record was at the Park. . On Monday 150 people set out for the ski-ing ground 011 Ruapehu— •the largest . number • ever: seen on the nl6untai.ll a.t the one time. Equipment was in great, demand, as. the conditions were favourable for good-sport. Motor trips' were made by a. number of guests up to .places of interest .in the district.
