The Catholic bazaar held to partially liquidate the debt on the new school, was an unqualified success, the receipts being &2GOO. After payment of expenses the net result was .£2350. The Queens' contest resulted In Miss Shallue (Gold Queen) bPinfc first, with £003 13/9; Miss Hickey (Pink Queen), second, £633 2/4; Miss Cobb (Mauve Queen), third, £549 5/6, and Miss Aislabie (Green Queen), fourth, £23S 3/6. The cost of the school and land was £ 0000, and the hall £2000. On the day of the laying of the school foundation stone in June last, £1400 was in hand, and the bazaar has increased the amount to £3750, which is rightly considered to be a magnificent result, and one that redounds to the credit of the willing workers and contributors to it.
