NEXT SEASON'S TOUR
(By Telegraph;—Ow Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. A queen carnival is to be promoted by the North Auckland Rugby Union to obtain funds. The proposal is thatieach affiliated sub-union should conduct a queen carnival on its own account and that the North: Auckland queen [should then be chosen. The whole of the proceeds will be pooled and divided among sub-unions and parent body. The effort is to raise funds for the purpose of sending a rep. team on tour next season. It is proposed to assemble the North Auckland team in Whangarei on July 19. The proposed itinerary is as follows: — British team, July 30; Hawke's Bay, August 2; Wanganui, August 6; Auckland, August 9.
