THE HEMP MARKET.

Overseas markets for New Zealand henrp are reported as very dull, demand ■being erratic and weak (says the "Evening Post''). Supplies are arriving freely into store, and although some Manawatu m ill el's are ■working on fairly good contracts, most of them are liriding it necessary to seek outlets for production during the next week or so, and local export opinion is that prices have not yet touched bottom and any pressure to sell will only result in still lower returns. Export values are reported as follow:—Good fair, £20 ■per ton; high fair. £27 10/; low fair, £25; tow No. 1 £14, Xo. 2 £12 10/.
