MANY ATTRACTIVE PRIZES

Two thousand pounds for half a crown is the offer made by the Auckland Aero Club's .Art Union, which closes definitely on Monday,

There are many attractive prizes included in the art union, which is being run >by permission of the Minister of Internal Affairs. The second prize is £500, the third £250, there are four at £100, four at £50, four at £25, twenty at £10, and seventy at £5. All prizes will be in alluvial gold. Although the last day of the art union is next Monday, letters posted on Monday will be accepted. Tickets are 2/0 each, or it book of 9 for £1.

The art union will be drawn on November 4at 2 p.m. at/the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, Swanson Street, under the supervision of the police. ' The .art union was organised for the purpose of raising funds for the purchase of an aerodrome, plant and machines for the Auckland Aero Club With the ever-increasing interest in aviation the object is a worthy one. On its recent tour the Auckland Aero Club spent about £200 to develop "air sense," and discover landing grounds in the North Island.

The strictest supervision is being observed in connection with the art union, and all tickets have duplicate butts, which will be returned to the secretary.
