i There was a picturesque celebration at Caldbeck of the centenary of the hunting song, "John Peel," including a combined hunt at which Peel was impersonated and the pack summoned bv the horn he used. The assemblage lustily rendered the song. Unfortunately, however, the pilgrimage was marred bv ooar?e vandalism. Sheets of iron were tied to conceal the on the memorial stone to the author of the song, John Woodstock Graves, who died at Hobart. i
