CLAUSES ADDED TO BILL.

The Local Authorities Empowering (Aviation Encouragement) Bill was returned to the Legislative Council to-day with amendments made by the Statutes Revision Committee. . Two new clauses have been added to the bill. The first enables local authorities, by agreement, to combine to establish an aerodrome, control of which may bo vested either in one or all of the combining bodies, as may bo agree 4 on. The other new clause gives special authority for the Gisborna Borough Council and the Cook and Waikohu County Councils to raise a joint special loan, not exceeding £5000, pursuant to a resolution passed by each of the local authorities concerned. An aerodrome is defined as including a landing-place for aircraft, whether or not it. has any buildings or other equipment on it.
