The proceedings are conducted with the most profound ceremonials. The business is conducted strictly according tp "May," and even the newly elected president is 'invested in a special coat and has placed on hjs lipger a special ring (a la Bishops), whioli gpes down as part of the regalia of the qflipp. All motions are carried out nnd debated witli that remarkable circumlocution, which is a feature of all native discussions. Dignity is the first consideration and the grave courtesy shown to all speakers would make the House of Commons blush with envy. The society is filling a. most useful place in helping on the best interests of the native population.
