At to-day's auctions the supply or poultry was small, and the demand was keen for table birds. The prices paid remain about level. Selling rates were as follows:—Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime, 6/ to 8/ each; not prime, 4/ upwards; light breeds, 4/ to 5/6; not prime, 3/ upwards. Fat roosters, heavy breeds, prime, 2/6 to 3/6; light breeds, 2/ to 3/. Fat hens, heavy breeds. 3/3 to 4/3; light breeds, 2/6 to 3/. Pullets, heavy breeds, best. 4' to o/: smaller. 2 0 upwards: light breeds, best. 4' to small'.';;. 2 (! upwards. Drakes, young. ] rime. •"> >» to 4 ; smaller. 2/0 upwards: Ducks, young, 3/ to -h, : old. 1 0 to 2 6. Drak.s, old, 1/6 to 2/6. Cockerel chicks, heavy breeds. 4d to ]/: light breeds. 2d to Od.
