DUNEDIN, Thursday.
: The City Council's trading depart - | ments in the six months which ended j fceptember 30, made a profit of £43,471, or £2049 more than the profits for the corresponding six months of 1925. The profits of both the gas and water departments fell, but the electric power and lighting department rose. The figures for the four principal departments are as follow, the profits for the corresponding six months of 192S in parentheses:—Water department, £8847 (£1Loo9); gas department, £4737 (£t>B73); electric power and lighting department. £31,082 (£25,257): city trams. £2501 (£2440;.
