ROYAL BANKRUPT.

Disappointing Auction Sale At Bonn. KAISER'S SISTER'S AFFAIRS. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 1 p.m.) BERLIN, October 15. The property of Frau Zoubkoff (formerly the Princess Victoria, sister of the er-Kaiser), who is now bankrupt, was auctioned at her palace at Bonn the very day on which the news was received that the career of her husband as a bartender at Saarbrucken had been cut short by the refusal of the Saar Commission to allow him to remain in the district. Zoubkoff is now going to Spain, while his wife is living in extreme retirement in a small villa at Bonn. The bids at the auction were unexpectedly low, considering the association and the value of many of the objects which were wedding presents or gifts from Royalty. A present from Queen Victoria, inscribed "from grandmama" was knocked down for £10. Less than £5000 was realised in the day's sale, whereas the Princess' debts are £37,000.
