NUMEROUS CORRECT SOLUTIONS RECEIVED. A WORD BUILDER FOR NEXT WEEK. Dear uoys and (|irls, — The "Jumbled Names of Famous Men and Women" puzzle must ha?e been very easy to solve, for more than a hundred competitors sent in the correct solution. The competition proved very popular, and exceptionally heavy entries were received which kept the judges busy for a long time, first going through entries with blue pencils checking the names, and then sorting out the riddles into piles according to their standard. Awarding prizes by the standard of riddles is not an easy task when there are dozens of good conundrums to choose from, but after careful consideration the judges selected the entry of Alan Godfrey ar being the best one contributed, and awarded it the first. prize. The paper of Jim Boaden was next set aside to be given the second prize, and the entry o\ Maureen Wlurtagh for the third award. ;'; , A word building competition "~~ in a new form is to be conducted this week, and it is sure to appeal to all competitors.
