VANCE'S CHALLENGE.
SECOND DEPOSIT PAID. RETURN MATCH WITH EKLUND. Arrangements for the return wrestling match for the light-heavyweight championship of the world, between Clarence Eklund, holder, and Farmer Vance, challenger, were finalised this morning, when Vance paid a second sum of £50 as a deposit on the £400 guarantee demanded by Eklund. At the meeting of the N.Z. Wrestling Association's match committee on Saturday Vance deposited £50 and agreed to put up the remaining £350 before 3 p.m. to-day. This morning, however, Eklund agreed to the challenger putting up only £100 and guaranteeing the balance. Thus, if the takings from the match when the expenses have been deducted fall short of £300 Vance will have to make up the difference. The match will take place in the Town Hall on Monday next..
