While Mrs, Mabel ElWo.tt was usin" benzine to clean curtains in a washhouse in Kilbuj-nie, Wellington, yesterday, tlie vapour was ignited and Mrs. Elliott was badly .burned on the face, left forearm and leg. She received first aid from the ■ fire brigade.
