UNLAWFULLY ON MARAMA,

"Ho has 69 previous convictions, and has almost exhausted the Police Offences Act," was the way in which SubInspector- McCarthy introduced William Kirk, aged 55, to Mr. F. K. Hunt's notice at the Police Court to-day.

Kirk pleaded guilty when charged with being found without lawful excuse on board the s.s. Marama at Central wharf last night.

Mr. McCarthy said Kirk forced his way past the man in charge of the ship and went on board. ; '

"We can't do anything', with him until Ave get the rest home,", said Mr. Hunt, in consigning Kirk to Mount Eden for three months.
