FOUND SHOT.
GUN BESIDE BODY.
A TAMAKI SCHOOLMASTER
RECENT ILL-HEALTH,
Missed from his bed about 6 o'clock this morning, Mr. Frederick Christopher Braithwaite, aged 49, a schoolmaster, at Tamaki, was found by his eldest son lying dead in the yard of his home. Beside his body was a shot-gun, and there was a wound in the left breast. Deceased was clad in his pyjamas. It is stated that during the last few days Mr. Braithwaite had been in illhealth, but he had no other worries. The news of his death came as a great shock to people throughout the district, as ho was held in the highest regard in Tamaki. Mr. Braithwaite was a married man, and leaves a wife and five children, four boys, and a girl, whose ages are between six and sixteen. He was born in Mount Albert. An inquest, which was opened at the residence by Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., this morning, was adjourned sine die.
