WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

WARTH—ADKINS. The marriage took place at AIL Saints' Church, Birkenhead, on Saturday of Rhoda May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Adkins, of Victoria Road East, Birkdale, and Maurice Warth, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Warth, of Mokoia Road, Birkenhead. Rev. P. C. Davis officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, entered the church in a frock of ivory crepe de chine, with silver lace, and wore an embroidered Brussels veil, with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of clematis and fern. She was attended by Miss Frances Adkins, who wore a frock of Nile green crepe de chine, with an uneven hem, and had shoulder posy and headdress of tulle to match. The bridesmaid carried a bouquet of lavender and sweet peao to match. Mr. G. A. Warth was best man. The reception was held at the residence of the bridegroom's parents.

SMITH—CRAWFORD. Pitt Street Congregational Church was the setting for the wedding of Miss Gertrude Graeo Crawford, daughter of Mrs. Crawford, of Heme Bay, when she became the wife of Sir.. Norman Henry Smith, only son of Mr. W. Smith, Islington Street, Ponsonby. The Rev. G. Jackson officiated. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. William Crawford, and wore a souple white satin cut on uneven lines. The tulle embroidered veil had clusters of orange blossom at the ears, and she carried a beautiful white shower bouquet. The bridesmaid, Miss Olive Crawford, accompanied her in a primrose georgette frock, the skirt being widely flared, and a lace straw picture hat of the same shade. A bouquet of various-toned gold flowers was carried. The .best man was Mr. Ernest Blomfield. A large attendance gathered at the Domain Kiosk, for the wedding tea, the tables holding crystal stands of pink roses, carnations, and maidenhair fern. Mrs. Crawford received the guests in a black satin ensemble suit, black hat, and white ospreys.

STRONG—MORRISH. St. Jude's Anglican Church, Avondale, was prettily decorated 011 Saturday, ; when the wedding was celebrated between Lorna Amelia Morrish, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Morrish, Princess Street, Avondale, and George Frederick Strong, only son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Strong, of 70, Burnley Terrace, Mount Albert. Kev. Alfred Drake, in the presence of a large congregation, performed the ceremony. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, wearing a very dainty frock of ivory georgette. The bodice of embossed chenille was joined into a skirt of three tiers longer at the sides, forming an uneven hemline. A band of silver ribbon was caught at the waist with a spray of orange blossoms, and hung in loops to the hem of the skirt. The dainty tulle veil was held in place with trails of orange blossom and lily of the valley, and fell from the shoulders in graceful folds to the ground. A shower bouquet of spring flowers and fern completed a charming appearance. Mr. X. Shaw was best man. Miss A. Morrish, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and wore lemon georgette, the tight bodice' being joined to a skirt of frills dipping at the back, this being finished with a liip bow of tulle. Her silk straw and georgette hat was trimmed with tiny blue flowers, and she carried a bouquet of lemon and blue. The wedding march was played by Mrs. W. Howie. After the ceremony a reception was held in the church hall, where about seventy guests assembled to partake of tho wedding breakfast, and following this a social evening and dance was held.
