PRISONER SURRENDERS.
COMPANION SHOT DEAD. SYDNEY, September 27. Norman Niass, who with a companion sscaped from the lock-up at Lithgow •arly in the week, has surrendered to .he police. His companion, Thomas liken, was shot dead by a constable on iVednesday night.
