London's 35th Consecutive Rainless Day. GLORIOUS LATE SUMMER. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 27. Under cloudless skies and with a promise from official meteorologists of a continuance of dry weather, London yesterday experienced its 35th consecutive day without rain. This period exceeds any recorded in the capital for 105 years. An extensive high pressure area, covers southern England. The total sunshine on the east and south coasts since the beginning , of this month exceeds 200 hours. September also provided a record in high temperatures.
