24 Stock Austin Sevens - driven by private owners - took part in a petrol test held at Wellington on August 31st. Prior to the start, all tanks were completelydrained, and one imperial gallon of petrol was placed in each under official supervision. The route selected covered all kinds of country, which makes the mileages recorded all the more remarkable. Passengers carried averaged 2 to each car.
