INCREASE NEXT MONTH. SELLING RATES ONLY. ANNOUNCEMENT BY BANKS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The acting-chairman of the Associated Banks announces that on and after Monday, September 30, the selling rates of exchange will be increased by onequarter per cent all round. No alteration will be made in the buying rates. The rates will now be as follows:— On Demand—Buying: 2/0 per cent discount. Selling: 20/ per cent premium. Three Days.—Buying: 4/0 per cent discount. Thirty Days.—Buying: 12/6 per cent discount. Selling: 12/6 per cent premium. Sixty Days.—Buying: 22/0 per cent discount. Selling: 5/ per cent premium. Ninety Days.—Buying: 32/0 per cent discount. Selling: 2/0 per cent premium. 120 Days.—Buying: 42/0 per cent discount. Telegraphic Transfers.—3o/ per cent premium.
