BIRCH—On Tuesday, September 24, at a private rest home, Mary Brower, relict of John Bagot Birch, and mother of J. Youlin Birch; aged 78. on September 25, at his residence, 16* Seaview Terrace, Mount Albert, Jaines, the dearly loved husband of Laura Sarah Dann; aged 54 years. MAXWELL.—On September 24, 1929, at a private hospital, Auckland, Shirley Gordon dearly beloved husband of Maud 1 Amelia Maxwell, of 24, Imperial Avenue, Bondi, Sydney, third son of the late William Maxwell, of Mangonui, New Zealand and grandson of the late Sir Charles ■• William Maxwell, of Chester Street, Belgrave Square, London; aged" 68 years. No mourning by request. Private cremation from Watney Sibun and Sons' Chapel, Newmarket, 10.30 a.m., Thursday. MURRAY—On Tuesday, September 24, at the residence of her sister (Mrs. Bob . Watts), Ethel May, dearly loved eldest daughter of Major David and Mrs. . Murray, o< , 39, Valley Road, Mount Eden (late infant mistress Curran Street ~ School).
