WAITEMATA POWER BOARD.
THE £100,000 LOAN. It was decided by the Waitemata Power Board this morning to take the poll of ratepayers on the proposal to raise a loan of £100,000 for general extensions on November 27 next. The board decided to thank Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, member of the Local Bodies Tfoan Board, for the trouble he had taken in expediting the approval of the loan. Mr. A. M. Main, the Power Board's secretary, was appointed returning-officer.
The engineer was authorised to call tenders for four synchronous condensers at an estimated total cost of £2000.
The secretary and architect were empowered to call for prices for ten oak flat top office desks.
