Shepherd, from Weraroa, as fields otlicer for Coromandel, Thames, Ohinemuri and Hauraki Plains counties. This matter was urgently represented to the Minister of Mine's, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, and Dr. Ecakes on their visit early this year, when the problems of the- Hauraki Plains particularly wero placed before them.
