COLOGNE FROM THE Alß.—The famous cathedral overshadows this historic Rhine port, the centre of Rhenish trade and one of the most important commercial centres of Germany. The cathedral is celebrated for its immensity, beauty of proportion, and wealth of decoration. To the left of it is the central railway/station, and spanning the river is the Hohenzollern bridge. Deutz lies on the opposite bank of the Khine.
